ELEVEN SIX X BEN STUBBINGTON Artist Collaboration...

The Rumi sweater + Juno skirt is a patterned sweater-set inspired by artwork by Ben Stubbington: a friend, past co-worker, creative director at Lulu Lemon and artist.. Using a double-bed-jacquard technique in super-soft, air-spun alpaca yarn, Catherine translates the artist’s abstract line-art. At first glance, the pattern can be seen as a zebra or woodgrain inspired. Ben speaks to the deeper meaning by this artwork:

“My line-art is always about the journey to some form of equilibrium caused between light and dark. It shows the course correction, the space, the time that is needed to find a place of stillness. One side of this piece is solid black and one side solid white, then the contrasting lines were added to create harmony between the contrasts. This particular artwork was a reaction / reflection on the importance of BLM at the time of creation, not just at the time of creation at all times.”
