This was my second visit to the world’s largest salt flat. I had fallen in love with this other-worldly place two years prior. It’s an incredible experience being surrounding with what seems like infinite, silent, whiteness and eternal horizons. I had previously been inspired to visitSalar de Uyuniby a local installation artist:Gaston Ulgalde who plays with placing unexpected colored objects or people within the powerful and spacious, white environment. The most talented Ellie Connell ofReeling filmscaptured on camera an impromptu photo-shoot showcasing some SS18 and FW18 pieces....I just walked out into the white!

The Cactus Island (Isla Incahuasi) is a magical island remotely located in the midst of the expansive salt flats. The island hosts a multitude of gigantic, ancient cacti. You can do a short, hilly hike around the island from which the views out amongst the majestic cacti are spectacular!
