“Motherhood is my window into my most playful, yielding self. I tend to be very convicted about my standards and rituals, but my children are my guides to more compassion and openness. They show me that even small gestures, patient words and slow moments together matter deeply.

My adult brain doesn’t always allow myself frivolous pleasures, but it turns out making fairy houses in the garden with my young son is in the middle of the workday (especially during quarantine) is exactly the thing that gives my mind a much needed rest, and allows me to deal with the next great challenge with more grace and calm.”

“I have been living in my Eleven Six clothes the past months and we have been spending lots of cozy time as a family. It hasn’t been easy by any means, but I’ve been holding close to the tender moments when we are snuggled together, often with the kids cuddled inside my Luella Cardi. Even though somedays are harder than others, I know this time of deep connection for our family is a gift and we will miss it someday.”

Meet Dana McClure : Mama of two and co-founder of Ra venwood : a converted Upstate barn-space…where farming, food and design meet in the most perfectly, serene way! SEE FULL FEATURE Dana wears Fall 19 CAROLINE Sweater : a design collaboration with Swiss-artist Caroline Denervaud Photo by: @delainedacko "This extended time at home with my family is both rewarding and let’s just say... intense. There’s no escape from the kids and everyone’s overflowing emotions! Some days are pure magic though – being more fully present for the moments that would have previously been overlooked due to the constant hustle of our lives. Underlining each day, along with fear of the unknown, is a deep gratitude for our health and for each other. Reflecting on the idea of ‘ mothering', I feel a deep desire to better mother myself and help nurture and give back to the world around me." “Happy mothers day to all the moms out there. Motherhood is life magnified on a regular day, when you add COVID-19 into the mix, wow! We are being called to it on so many levels! There is so much activity in one day - it can feel like a marathon just the cooking, home school and cleaning (not to mention work). But you’re doing it and for that you are a super woman. Take breaks, deep breaths and do something to fill yourself up whenever you can. Know that you are stronger than you think, us women make the world go round. Wishing you sanity, love and health!”

“Being a mother during this unusual time has been quite overwhelming to be honest.
You can read all the encouraging quotes about how it's okay to not be able to do it all but frankly, it doesn't really work that way. Mothers will never be okay not doing everything possible to make it okay for their children. All the tasks tossed at mothers will certainly be caught and handled. Mothers will drown while keeping everyone else afloat.”

We asked Jen to share her advice for other new mama’s working from home right now?

“Give yourself grace, take one day at a time. I stress so much thinking about how to get everything done in a 24-hour period that I forget to breathe sometimes. It’s unhealthy. If you’re having a stressful day, slow down – find a place to be alone, sit and breathe for a moment, let out your emotions if they’ve been pent up. Afterward, try to focus on the big picture, your health and mental wellbeing, and remember that tomorrow is a new day.”
